Billie Baucum, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Baucum, Jacksonville, graduate of Northwestern State College. Entered Army, 1942, trained at Camp Claiborne, La., Ft. Bragg, N.C. and Ft. Benning, Ga. Served in England, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. Awarded 3 Battle Stars, Combat Inf. Badge, Unit Citation, Purple Heart and OLC. Wounded in France, 1944, and Germany, 1945. Discharged in 1946. He died in Sep 1985 in Cullen, Webster Parish, LA.237
