254. Alpha Adeline HENRY was born on Aug 29, 1896 in Redland, Bossier Parish, LA.²⁵⁷ She died about 1969.

Alpha Adeline HENRY and Edward CHAPPELL were married on Nov 15, 1924 in Pomona, Los Angeles Co., CA. Edward CHAPPELL²⁵⁸ (son of George CHAPPELL and Anne __________) was born on Feb 19, 1894 in Manchester, England. He died in Oct 1964 in Vancouver, Clark Co., WA.²⁵⁹ A search at Ellis Island revealed that George Chappell and his family arrived in the United States from England on board the Lusitania on May 26, 1911. The family consisted on George the father, born c1860; Anne the mother, born c1857; Edward, a son, and Florence a daughter born c1895. Edward was aged 18 at the time of arrival indicating that he was born c1894.

In a letter to me dated Jul. 2, 2001, Marie Charrell Reiger confirmed that George was her grandfather, and that he was born Jun. 9, 1860, and died in 1958 or 1959 in Pomona, CA at age 98 or 99 years. Her grandmother Anne was born in 1857 and was older than her granfather. Her father's sister, Florence died of pneumonia in Pomona, but Marie does not remember which year.

Marie's father had an older sister named Ann who married Albert Ancell in England. They had two children, Jack and Ann, both born in England. They came to the United States after 1911, and lived in Pomona where they had another child, Kenneth.

Another check of Ellis Island records show that Albert, Annie, and children Annie and John Edward Ancell arrived in the United States at Ellis Island on Sep. 24, 1920 aboard the ship Celtic. Albert was aged 37, wife Annie ag 34, daughter Annie, age 9, and son John Edward aged 7.

California death records show that Albert was born Feb. 13, 1882 and died in Orange Co., CA on Apr. 3, 1967 at age 84. His mother's maiden name was given as Taylor. Annie, the mother was born Jan. 21, 1887 and died Dec. 16, 1979, also in Orange Co.

There is a birth recorded for Kenneth, born Apr. 12, 1921 in Los Angeles. He died Jul. 21, 1989 in Bend, Deschutes Co., OR. According to his birth record, his mother's maiden name was Campbell. Alpha Adeline HENRY and Edward CHAPPELL had the following children:
