2. William DELAFIELD
was born about 1763 in Virginia. He appeared in the census in 1830
in Hall Co., GA.1 He died
about 1860 in Harrison Co., TX. He was buried in Lagrone Cemetery,
Hallsville, Harrison Co., TX.
William Delafield served as a private, substitute for James Ramey, in the Mecklenburg
Co., VA Militia commanded by Capt. Reuben Vaughn, 1779. On the basis of his
service as a soldier during the Rev. War, he drew in the GA Land Lottery of 1827.
An official Texas Historical Marker honoring this patriot is located at Lagrone

Feb. 3, 1804; 1820 William Derrifield in Hall County, Georgia census; 1827 William

1994] William DELAFIELD and Nancy __________ were married before 1794 in Georgia.
Nancy __________ was born about 1760 in Georgia.
She died after 1830 in Alabama. William DELAFIELD and Nancy __________
