106. Joseph M. BISHOP was born on May 29, 1827 in Alabama.¹⁶ Joseph's relationship to the Hezekiah Bishop family is not exactly clear. Walker writes that he is possibly a son of William Bishop but, more likely a grandson. Joseph is not included in the 1997 paper by David N. Bishop, The Bishops of Spartanburg Co., SC, p27.
