112. Sarah J. BISHOP was born about 1849. She died in Dec 1866 in Yell Co., AR.²⁰¹ Dr. Walker writes that Sarah, along with her brother Albert and a cousin, Melissa Bishop, joined the New Hope Baptist Church in Union Co., AR in August, 1865. She was also charged, as had been her brother Albert, with the sin of dancing in 1866, for which she expressed repentance and was granted forgiveness. She requested a letter of dismission from that church in September, 1870, prior to moving to Yell County with her husband.
