32. Howell Washington RUNNELS was born between 1794 and 1804 in Elbert Co., GA. He appeared in the census in 1820 in Lawrence Co., MS.³³ He appeared in the census in 1830 in Yazoo Co., MS.³⁴

Howell Washington RUNNELS and Cary COLLINS were married. The Mar. 31, 1842 edition of the Vicksburg Daily Whig, Vicksburg, MS reported the death of Miss Camilla Runnels, age 14 years, 5 months, on 21 Mar. 1842. The obituary also indicated that Camilla was the neice of Ex-Gov. Runnels. Camilla is likely the child of Howell Washington.
