LAURENT SR., LEONCE
Died Saturday, March 28, 1992, at St. James Parish Hospital, Lutcher. He was
66, a native of Paulina and resident of Gramercy. He was a retired mechanic with
Colonial Sugars Co. and a U.S. veteran of World War II. Visiting at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, Gramercy, 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to religious services
at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by Father Jim Duffy. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery,
Paulina. Survived by wife, Doris Lemoine Laurent, Gramercy; five daughters, Mrs.
Eugene (Jeanne) Louque, Gramercy, Mrs. Lionel (Doris) Forsyth, Grand Point, Mrs.
Terry (Diane) Poche, Hester, Mrs. Randy (Debbie) Zeller, LaPlace, and Mrs. Jeff
(Mary) Nagy, LaPlace; two sons, Leonce Laurent Jr., Gramercy, and Gerard Laurent,
Meraux; three sisters, Therese Counts, Sue McPherson and Martha Becnel; two brothers,
Raleigh "Pap" Laurent and Roger Laurent; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by parents, Lepold and Elodie Hymel Laurent; and two brothers,
Stephen and Maurice Laurent. He was a member of East St. James VFW Post No. 5852.
Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, in charge of arrangements.
He was buried on Mar 30, 1992 in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina, , St. James
Parish, LA. Leonce Vincent LAURENT and Doris Mae LEMOINE were married
on Oct 18, 1944. Doris Mae LEMOINE (daughter
of Charlel E. LEMOINE and Jeanne LABAT) was born on Nov 7, 1926.
She died on Aug 28, 2005 in Lutcher, St. James Parish, LA.

Doris Mae Laurent, age 78, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Riverlands Health
Care Center in Lutcher. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonce V. Laurent
Sr.; daughter of the late Charles E. Lemoine and Jeanne Labat Lemoine; mother
of Jeanne M. Louque, Diane C. Poche, Doris A. Forsyth, Debra A. Zeller, Mary
T. Nagy, Leonce V. "Leaky" Laurent and Gerard A. Laurent; mother-in-law
of Eugene Louque Sr., Terry Poche, Lionel Forsyth, Randy Zeller, Melissa Hymel
Laurent, Jeffery Nagy and Fran Laurent; and sister of Herman Lemoine and the
late Olga Guidry, Marie Vicknair, George, Donald and Charles Lemoine Jr. She
also is survived by 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian
Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, on Saturday, Sept. 3, at noon.
Visitation at the church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Interment
in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, is in
charge of arrangements.
She was buried on Sep 3, 2005 in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Paulina,
