LAURENT, Stephen Joseph
Died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 1991, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary.
He was 73, a native of Reserve and resident of Slaughter. He was a retired supervisor
with Gulf States Utilities. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government
St., from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services
at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial in Resthaven Gardens
of Memory. Survived by his wife Mrs. Marguerite B. Laurent, Slaughter, four daughters,
Mrs. Junious (Marguerite) Albarez and Mrs. Robert (Jerry) (sic) Fennel, both
of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Lloyd (Nida Made) (sic) Altazin, New Orleans, and Mrs. Jack
(Nelda) Coffee, Singapore; two sons, Marshall Laurent, Zachary, and Leo Laurent,
Baton Rouge; three sisters, Martha Becknell, New Orleans Therese Counts, Baltimore,
and Elodie McPherson, Mission, Texas; four brothers, Rawleigh Laurent, Sorrento,
Roger Laurent, Gonzales, and Maurice and Leonce Laurent, both of Gramercy; 30
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. John Catholic
Church, Zachary, and Knights of Columbus Council 1817, Gramercy. He was buried
on Aug 17, 1981 in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge, EBR Parish, LA. Stephen

LAURENT, MARGUERITE BOURGEOIS
A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002. She
was 91 and a native of Convent. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East,
11000 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at the funeral home
chapel from 10 a.m. until religious services at noon Wednesday, conducted by
the Rev. Joe Steffes. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by four
daughters and three sons-in-law, Marguerite Foor, Mrs. Robert (Geri) Fennell
Sr., Mrs. Lloyd (Naida) Altazin and Mrs. Jack (Nelda) Coffee; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Leo and Sylvia Laurent and Marshall and Faye Laurent; two sisters, Mabel Berthelot
and Mildred Laurent; 28 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren. Preceded in
death by her spouse, Stephen J. Laurent; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bourgeois;
two sisters, Marie Doming and Mae Troxler; and four brothers, Edward, Randall,
Raymond and Roy Bourgeois. She was buried on Jan 30, 2002 in Resthaven Gardens
of Memory, Baton Rouge, EBR Parish, LA. Stephen Joseph LAURENT and
