FENNELL, SR. ROBERT W. "BOB"
A retired U.S. Postal Service employee, he died at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22,
2003, at his residence in Denham Springs. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home
East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003. Visitation
in the funeral home chapel from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Thursday,
conducted by the Rev. Vincent Dufresne. He was a resident of Baton Rouge from
1959 to 1996. He was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Chicora, Pa., son of Harold and Alice
S. Fennell. He graduated from Chicora High School in 1951. He was a U.S. Air
Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion
and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. Survived by his
wife, Geraldine "Geri" Laurent Fennell; and six sons, a daughter, daughters-in-law
and a son-in-law, Bobby and Liz G. Fennell of Denham Springs, Alan Fennell of
Slaughter, Tom and Theresa O. Fennell of Watson, Jim and Diane Fennell McMahon
of Baton Rouge, Brian and Gracie F. Fennell of Gonzales, and David and Lisa S.
Fennell, and Ron Fennell, all of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren,
Joshua, Jennifer and Melissa Fennell, Jason, Matthew and Erin Fennell, Lauren
and Caitlin McMahon, Angelle and Spencer Fennell and Meghan, Rebecca and Michaela
Fennell. Mr. Fennell is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Leo and
Sue Fennell Gladys of Chicora; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marguerite
L. Foor, Leo and Sylvia Laurent, Marshall and Faye Laurent, Lloyd and Naida L.
Altazin and Jack and Nelda L. Coffee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alice S. Fennell, who were of Chicora.
Pallbearers will be Leo and Marshall Laurent, Junious Albarez; and grandsons,
Joshua, Jason and Matthew Fennell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may
