Joint services for M-Sgt. and Mrs. Elmo C. Buford and their 2 1/2-year-old daughter
who were killed in a two-car crash near Snyder, Tex., Tuesday, will be held at
2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Trinity Baptist Church. Officiating at the service
will be Rev. Bert York, pastor of the West Heights Baptist church, Oklahoma City,
and Rev. Bob Harris, pastor, Trinity Baptist church.
Burial will be in post cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral home. Buford,
44, was the son of Walter H. Buford, 1816 Gore, and the brother of Mrs. Wayne
Sherrill, 306 S. 26th. an Air Force master sergeant, he was stationed at Altus
AFB. In addition to his father and sister, he is survived by one brother, Delbert,
and another sister Mrs. E. K. Lewis, all of Midland, Tex. Mrs. Hope Buford, 33,
is survived by her mother, Mrs. Joseph Schultz, Shelbyville, Ill.; one brother,
Joe Schultz, Oakland, Cal.; four sisters, Mrs. Faith Osborne, and Mrs. Love Wise,
both of Shelbyville; Mrs. Charity Sherrington, St. Ann, Mo., and Mrs. Joy Beaman,
St. Charles, Mo. He was buried on Dec 26, 1959 in Fort Sill Post Cemetery, Comanche
Co., OK. Elmo Carol BUFORD and Hope SCHULTZ were married on Mar
15, 1950 in Lawton, Comanche Co., OK. Hope
SCHULTZ was born about 1926. She died on Dec 22, 1959 in Snyder,
Scurry Co., TX.177 She
was buried on Dec 26, 1959 in Fort Sill Post Cemetery, Comanche Co., OK.
