MOORE was born in 1829 in White Co., TN. She appeared in
the census on Jun 29, 1880 in Webster Parish, LA, enumeraed as a widow.6 Sarah Alice MOORE and William
ALLEN were married in 1855 in Bossier Parish, LA. They appeared in
the census on Aug 14, 1860 in Bossier Parish, LA.7 They appeared in the census on Jul 11, 1870 in Bossier
Parish, LA.8
Sarah Alice MOORE and William ALLEN had the following children:

James I Allen, merchant, Sarepta, La. This well-known and prosperous business
man is a native- born resident of Webster Par., Louisiana his birth occurring
in Ward No. 2, on August 3, 1858, and is the son of William Allen, who was born
in Walker County, Ala., about 1826. William Allen was one of the following
children: Martha, Patience, Eliza, Polly A., John, William, Joseph, Benjamin
and James. James I Allen, was reared to mature years, and received his education
in the common schools of Webster Parish. He was the second in order of birth
of ten children, viz.: Walter D. (president of the Masonic Female Institute
of Bonham, Tex.), Mattie C. (widow of James W. Coyle of Webster Parish), Thomas
W., Joseph J., Trebia (now Mrs. A. B. Martin of Webster Parish), Percy Q.(deceased),
Pleasant D., Gent and Win. E. In 1882 Mr. James I. Allen was united in marriage,
to Miss Luda W. Adams, also a resident of this parish, and the fruits of this
union have been one child, Grover Cleveland. Mr. Allen is one of the wide-awake,
thoroughgoing business men, and by his pleasant, agreeable manners he built
up a good trade.
