August 19, 2005 She always made me feel part of the family. I know she loved
the Griffin children, and helped them in many ways. She will we missed, but never
forgotten..... Sheila Ellis (Livingston, LA )
August 15, 2005 On behalf of Betty's distant Oregon cousins, we send our thoughts
and prayers for the family. Betty and I had corresponded over the years regarding
our geneaology. She gave me valuable information. Her father and my grandfather
were brothers. I came back to Louisiana two years ago and finally was able to
meet her. We had a wonderful visit and have talked on phone since. I know she
will be missed. The Oregon Roe family Geraldine Roe (Salem, OR ) gramroe@juno.com

August 15, 2005 I was saddened to hear of Betty's death. Although I had not seen
her in more than 30 years, she was often in my thoughts. Her early research into
our common Roe ancestry has been invaluable to me in researching my own roots.
My condolences to her children and their families. Jack Coffee (St. Joseph,
LA ) jkcoffee@yahoo.com
