Genola, Wilma S. "Bill"
A retired dispatcher for Harrell Gas and a resident and native of Baywood, she
died at 1:18 a.m. Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary.
She was 83. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary from 5 p.m. to 8
p.m. Monday. Religious services at Bluff Creek Baptist Church from 8:30 a.m.
until religious services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Dwayne Rogers.
Interment in church cemetery. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rusty
and Faye Genola, Zachary; two nephews, J.T. Stevens and E.R. Smith Jr; a niece,
Doris Leeds; four grandchildren, Tullie, Amie, Tiffany and Shane Genola; and
two great-grandchildren, Weston and Alexis Genola. Preceded in death by her husband,
John Walter Genola; parents, Tullie and Amelia Smith; a brother, Emmett R. Smith;
and a sister, Mildred Stevens. Pallbearers will be Claude Smith, Darryl, Jim
and Keith Stevens, Matt Price and Danny Bourgeois. Honorary pallbearers are
Ira Cleveland and Mike Pierce. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of
Baywood. Memorial donations may be made to Building Fund for Bethany Baptist
Church of Baywood, 40963 Greenwell Springs Road, Clinton, LA 70722.
She was buried on Apr 3, 2001 in Bluff Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, East
Feliciana Parish, LA. Wilma L. (Bill) SMITH and Robert WILLIAMS

L. (Bill) SMITH and John Walter GENOLA were married about 1956. John Walter GENOLA was born on Jul 7, 1922.
