Florence first married Ratcliff Walker circa 1919 and four children were born: Idell (m. Clayton), Myrtle (m. Nickens), Clarence and Alton. Another son, Tom, is believed to have died at birth. Both sons were are married but wives names are not yet known. Steve Benton was her second husband and they had no children. Steve and Florence are buried at Redoaks Cemetery in Livingston Parish, LA.
