ACHORD, Mrs. Ida Carver
Died at 1:30 p.m. Tjursday, Oct. 26, 1978, at the Baton Rouge Extensive Care
Unit. She was 88, a resident of Pride and a native of Baywood. Body at Rabenhorst
Funderal Home, 825 Government St., with visiting from 2 to 10 p.m. Friday and
from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Saturday, conducted by the Rev. John W. Rushing of Gaillee Baptist Church. Burial
in South Union Family Cemetery, Baywood. Survived by five daughters, Mrs. O.
L. (Katie) Forbes, Pride, Mrs. Edwin (Addie) Howard, Mrs. Robert (Delma) Allen,
Mrs. O. W. (Bessie) Foster and Mrs. C. L. (Edna) Sommers, all of Baton Rouge;
three stepdaughters, Mrs. Vernon Wales and Mrs. Orgil Chandler, both of Walker,
and Mrs. Marvin Erwin, Pride; a sister, Lucille McGinnis, Arlington, Texas; 16
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Grady (Lillian) Behrnes, and a son, L.
J. Carver. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church of Walker. She was buried
on Oct 29, 1978 in South Union Cemetery, East Feliciana Parish, LA. Ida
Mae ROE and William ACHORD were married. Ida
Mae ROE and Euel CARVER were married on Feb 4, 1908 in East Baton Rouge Parish,
LA.30 Euel
CARVER (son of James Edward CARVER and Margaret Delilah MCKNIGHT) was born
on Sep 4, 1884 in Choctaw Co., MS.31
