FOSTER, BESSIE C.

A resident of Canton, Kan., she died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at Salem Hospital, Hillsboro, Kan. She was 81 and a former resident of Denham Springs. She was born Bessie Carver on March 29, 1917, at Bluff Creek, and was a retired housemother for LSU. She married O.W. Foster and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1995. She was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church, Baton Rouge. Survivors include two sons, James W. Foster, Grand Junction, Colo., and William E. Foster, Canton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Cremation took place and inurnment will take place at a later date in Baton Rouge. Olson's Mortuary, Canton, in charge of arrangements.

She was cremated in Jun 1998.

FOSTER, OCIE W.

Died 12:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 1994, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 78, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Big Sandy, Texas; He was a retired Ethyl Corporation supervisor with 46 years of service. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 1 to 9 p.m. Monday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel 10 a.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. William Godwin. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Bessie Carver Foster; two sons, James and William Foster; and four grandchildren
