FOSTER, BESSIE C.
A resident of Canton, Kan., she died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at Salem Hospital,
Hillsboro, Kan. She was 81 and a former resident of Denham Springs. She was born
Bessie Carver on March 29, 1917, at Bluff Creek, and was a retired housemother
for LSU. She married O.W. Foster and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1995.
She was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church, Baton Rouge. Survivors include two
sons, James W. Foster, Grand Junction, Colo., and William E. Foster, Canton;
four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Cremation took place and inurnment
will take place at a later date in Baton Rouge. Olson's Mortuary, Canton, in
charge of arrangements.
She was cremated in Jun 1998. Bessie Marie CARVER and Ocie Wayne
FOSTER were married on Jun 17, 1939 in Baton Rouge, EBR Parish, LA.
Ocie Wayne FOSTER was born on Apr 28, 1916 in Garden

FOSTER, OCIE W.
Died 12:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 1994, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
He was 78, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Big Sandy, Texas; He was
a retired Ethyl Corporation supervisor with 46 years of service. Visiting at
Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 1 to 9 p.m. Monday. Visiting at the funeral
home chapel 10 a.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, conducted
by the Rev. William Godwin. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife,
Bessie Carver Foster; two sons, James and William Foster; and four grandchildren
He was buried on Nov 22, 1994 in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge, EBR
