FORBES, KATIE CARVER
Died Monday, Feb. 18, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
She was 82, a native of Baywood and a lifelong resident of Pride. Visiting at
Galilee Baptist Church, Zachary, 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
conducted by the Rev. Tommy Jackson. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by husband,
Ollie L. Forbes, Pride; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Juanita and Tommy Templet,
Pride, and Connie and Walter Sibley, Greenwell Springs; a son and daughter-in-law,
Kenneth L. and Jo Ann Forbes, Greenwell Springs; three sisters, Delma Allen,
Bessie Foster and Edna Sommers, all of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Randy,
Bruce and Barry Templet, Tammy Templet Greene, Kendall Forbes and Sharon Forbes
Martin; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a granddaughter,
Melody Sibley; two sisters, Lillian C. Berhrnes and Addie C. Howard; a brother,
L.J. Carver; and parents, Euell Carver and Ida Roe Carver Achord. Pallbearers
will be Bobby Berhrnes, Kendall Forbes, Jay Martin, Ronnie Sommers, Barry and
Bruce Templet. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Rabenhorst Funeral
Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., in charge of arrangements. She was buried on
Feb 20, 1991 in Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, Zachary, EBR Parish, LA. Katie
Mae CARVER and Ollie Lee FORBES were married on Feb 15, 1928 in East Baton Rouge
Parish, LA.95 They appeared

FORBES, MR. OLLIE L.
Died 12:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical
Center. He was 88, a native of Deerford and a resident of Pride. He was a retired
Ethyl Corporation carpenter with over 12 years of service. Visiting at Galilee
Baptist Church, Zachary, 1 p.m. to religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted
by the Rev. Tommy Jackson. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by two daughters
and sons-in-law, Juanita and Tommy Templet, Pride, and Connie and Walter Sibley,
Greenwell Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth L. and Jo Ann Forbes, Greenwell
Springs; a sister, Lillie Mae Kent, Denham Springs; six grandchildren, Randall,
Bruce, and Barry Templet, Tammy Templet Greene, Sharon Martin, and Kendall Forbes;
seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceded
in death by wife, Katie Carver Forbes; a granddaughter, Melody Sibley; a sister,
Ouida Watts; two half-sisters, Lula Bailey and Clara Ashford; two brothers, Leon
and Walker Forbes; and two half-brothers, Robert and Ernest Forbes. Pallbearers
will be grandsons and nephews, Kendall Forbes, Barry and Bruce Templet, Jay Martin,
Jerry Watts and, R.G. Newell. He was a charter member and deacon of Galilee Baptist
Church, Zachary. Memorial donations may be made to Galilee Baptist Church Building

He was buried on May 19, 1991 in Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, Zachary,
