Irma Roe Malbrough
FERRIDAY — Services for Irma Roe Malbrough, 89, of Waterproof, who died
Monday, July 24, 2006, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 1
p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday with Father Micle Poovathumkudy
officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s
Funeral Home Ferriday.
She was a resident of Waterproof, the owner of Malbrough Texaco in Waterproof
and a member of the St. Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mrs. Malbrough was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvest Joseph “Frenchie”
Malbrough; mother, Tidy Lucille Roe; father, Howard Lee Roe; and a grandson,
Charles Andrew Pickell.
Survivors include daughter, Sylvia Pickell of South Carolina; granddaughters,
Vicki Mathis and her husband, Harry of Columbia, S.C., and Sheri Pickell of Sumter,
S.C.; cousin, Ivie Wagoner of Ferriday; great-grandsons, Christopher Mathis and
William Mathis.
Pallbearers will be Steve Bonnett, Chris Mills, James Lentz, Max Hazlip, Russell
Wagoner and Joe Rushing.
Honorary pallbearers are Tru Goldman, Roy Wagoner, Willie Battle, Dr. Duffy,
Dr. Mal Morgan, Larry Wagoner and Ross Cooper. She was buried on Jul 28, 2006
in City Cemetery, Natchez, Adams Co., MS. Irma Beatrice ROE and
Sylvest Joseph MALBROUGH were married on Nov 7, 1935. Sylvest
Joseph MALBROUGH (son of Joseph Z. MALBROUGH and Marie BOURGE) was born on
Oct 27, 1908 in Houma, Terrebonne Parish, LA. He died on Jul 8, 1996
in Tensas Parish, LA. He was buried in Jul 1996 in City Cemetery,
Natchez, Adams Co., MS. Irma Beatrice ROE and Sylvest Joseph MALBROUGH
