Burial in Salem Cemetery, Walker. Survived by mother, Emelda Roe Sims; two daughters, Sarah and Jamie Sims, Watson; a son, Sammy Sims, Watson; and a brother, Clyde Sims, Watson. Preceded in death by father, James Murray Sims Sr.; a sister, Margaret Sims; and a brother, John Sims. He was a member of Amite Baptist Church, Denham Springs. He was buried on Feb 13, 1994 in Salem Baptist Church, Walker, Livingston Parish, LA.
