5. Randolph SLACK¹³ was born in 1828. He served during the Civil War from May 14, 1862 in Louisiana as a Private in Gray's Infantry.¹⁴

She appeared in the census in 1910 in Webster Parish, LA, enumerated with son, William L., and family. She died on Jul 11, 1928 in Louisiana. Randolph SLACK and Frances (Fanny) MCCARTY had the following children:
