DAVISON, Mrs. Estelle (Stella) S.
Died at 1:35 p.m. at the Baton Rouge General Hospital. Was 74, a native of Slaughter
and a resident of Holden. body at the Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs until
10 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at Bluff Creek Baptist Church at 11 a.m.
Saturday and burial in church cemetery. Survivors include a son, Edward Dean
of Holden; three sisters, Mrs. C.B. Curtis and Mrs. Steve Benton of Denham Springs,
and Mrs. Lillian Roe of Baton Rouge; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Yost
of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Amelia Smith and Mrs. Vera Smith, both of Baywood; four
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers will be A.T. Smith, Emmett R., C.E. and Teddy Smith, and Alton
and Clarence Walker.
Note: Margaret Yost must have been a Dean that married a Yost. The East Baton
Rouge Parish census of 1920 lists on page 3A the family of Charles Dean on North
Blvd. A resident of the house, enumerated as a boarder, is Margaret Yost and
three children, ages 6 to 10. She was buried on Sep 7, 1962 in Bluff Creek Baptist
Church Cemetery, East Feliciana Parish, LA. Estelle SMITH and Arthur
DEAN were married. They were divorced.
Estelle SMITH and Arthur DEAN had the following children:
